	The Paul Greenberg Collection This is probably the largest and most comprehensive collection of works by Norman Lloyd in private hands, a total of 90 paintings. The works represented here cover the artist's entire career of some 65 years. They range from the rare early works that Lloyd created in the 1920s in Australia to the French countryside, where he spent much of his later life. Landscape, towns and villages across Southern Europe, London, France - with Paris a focus - and Morocco dominate, rendered in impressionistic and modernist style. Lloyd's love for the countryside - be it Australia or Europe - is evident in every image, as is his appreciation of the quiet rural life. The works are presented with a geographical viewpoint: - Early Australian Works - Scenes from the Mediterranean - Moroccan Impressions - Views of Paris - Still lifes and various scenes - French country life A select number of these works will be on view in the focus exhibition 'Norman Lloyd - Another Life' at the Newcastle Regional Art Gallery from 27 August to 27 November 2011.
